Unveiling the Chainstack Compare Dashboard

At Chainstack, we believe that transparency is key when it comes to blockchain infrastructure. Whether you’re deploying smart contracts, querying blockchain data, or processing transactions, you need uninterrupted, reliable access to your network of choice.

That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of the Chainstack Compare Dashboard — a real-time window into the reliability and performance of Web3 infrastructure across multiple blockchains.

What is the Chainstack Compare Dashboard?

The Chainstack Compare Dashboard is a real-time monitoring tool that tracks API success rates, response times, and overall performance metrics for blockchain infrastructure providers.

Updated every minute, the dashboard gives developers and enterprises instant visibility into how well different providers handle real-world traffic across major blockchains, including:

  • Ethereum
  • Base
  • Solana
  • TON

Why we built this dashboard

When you’re building on Web3, choosing the right infrastructure partner can make or break your project. A single failed API call can mean lost transactions, degraded user experiences, and ultimately lost revenue.

We built this dashboard to:

  • Bring transparency to blockchain infrastructure performance.
  • Help developers understand the importance of success rates, not just speed.
  • Showcase real-world conditions instead of theoretical benchmarks.

With data collected from multiple global regions, the dashboard reflects how infrastructure performs under actual network conditions—not just in a controlled test environment.

How the dashboard works

Each blockchain-region combination runs as a separate function instance. The dashboard updates in near real-time using the following process:

  1. Function instances (data collection) run at scheduled intervals for Ethereum, Base, Solana, and TON. Data collection involves querying blockchain state updates, retrieving key performance metrics, and pushing structured data to Grafana.
  2. Vercel blob storage acts as shared state storage with no direct function-to-function communication. It stores recent data on recent blocks and transactions.
  3. Grafana Cloud integration ensures all metrics are processed and displayed efficiently using Prometheus with an emphasis on reliability and accuracy.

Key metrics on the dashboard

The dashboard tracks critical performance indicators for Web3 infrastructure across different chains, including:

1. API success rates

  • The percentage of API requests that succeed—ensuring your DApp avoids failed transactions and broken user flows.
  • Metrics are aggregated for both recent and historical requests, using fallback mechanisms where necessary.

2. Response times

  • Measures how quickly an RPC node responds to a request under real-world traffic loads.
  • Includes recent and historical data to capture a full picture of API performance.

3. State update process

  • Collects and maintains blockchain state by querying the latest block, transactions, and randomly offsetting block lookups for historical analysis.
  • Uses retry logic for handling RPC errors, invalid data, and timeouts, ensuring robustness.

4. WebSocket metrics collection

  • Measures latency using subscription-based WebSocket methods where available.
  • Currently supported for Ethereum and Base networks.

5. Transaction landing metrics (Solana)

  • Tracks how quickly transactions land on the blockchain.
  • Sends memo transactions.

Helius✅✅
Quicknode
TonCenter

Chainstack and Helius support both default and enhanced endpoints (Warp and Staked respectively) for transaction sending, ensuring optimal performance.

A new standard in Web3 transparency

At Chainstack, we don’t just talk about reliability—we show it. The Chainstack Compare Dashboard is fully accessible to anyone, allowing developers to:

  • Compare provider performance in real time.
  • Validate the reliability of their infrastructure choices.
  • See how different chains and methods perform across providers.

Whether you’re running a high-traffic DApp or deploying mission-critical infrastructure, this dashboard helps you make informed decisions about your RPC provider.

The Chainstack Compare Dashboard is now live and available to everyone. See how infrastructure providers stack up in real time—and make sure you’re building on the most reliable foundation.
