Chainstack launches complete Avalanche support accelerating performance and customizability

We are thrilled to welcome Avalanche to our platform and to announce that Avalanche’s smart contract platform for digital assets and decentralized applications (DApps) is now fully supported. Avalanche builders can focus on creating a more connected and efficient future with Chainstack’s exceptionally stable and scalable infrastructure solutions.

What is Avalanche?

Avalanche is the fastest smart contracts platform in the blockchain industry, as measured by time-to-finality. It is blazingly fast, low cost, and eco-friendly. It is compatible with the Ethereum smart contracts and tooling, enabling Ethereum users and developers to quickly access high-performance DApps.

Since launching in September 2020, Avalanche is one of the fastest organically growing ecosystems in crypto. It now has over 350 projects building on the platform, including top-tier DeFi projects like Aave, Curve, BENQi, Sushi, and Chainlink, and enterprise applications for leaders in culture and sports with Topps and Andretti Autosport.

Avalanche is seeing all-time highs in user activity, including transaction volume, unique addresses (now over 1.5M), and assets transferred from Ethereum to Avalanche over the Avalanche Bridge ($5.4B).

The Avalanche network can achieve high throughput, estimated to reach over 4500 transactions per second. Transactions are finalized in under a second while being able to scale to unprecedented levels of decentralization consisting of tens of thousands of nodes, even upwards to a million nodes—all participating in consensus at the same time. Lightweight and sustainable, the protocol allows for high transactions per second (TPS) throughput while having low latency, and consumes extremely little energy, switching to a low-energy-consumption state when there is no activity.

Building on Avalanche

Avalanche is a platform of platforms, ultimately consisting of thousands of subnets to form a heterogeneous interoperable network of many blockchains that takes advantage of the revolutionary Avalanche consensus to provide a secure, globally distributed, interoperable, and trustless framework offering unprecedented decentralization. Avalanche allows anyone to create their own tailor-made application-specific blockchains, supporting multiple custom virtual machines such as the EVM, WASM, Bitcoin VM, Privacy VM, and more. This virtual machine can then be deployed on a custom blockchain network, called a subnet, which consists of a dynamic set of validators working together to achieve consensus on the state of a set of many blockchains where complex rulesets can be configured to meet regulatory compliance. The primary subnet consists of three blockchains currently, the X-Chain, P-Chain, and the C-Chain.

The C-Chain uses the Ethereum Virtual Machine and is compatible with all key Ethereum tooling that has fueled decentralized finance’s (DeFi) growth to date, working seamlessly with Solidity and the widely used dev tools such as MetaMask, web3.js, Remix, Truffle Suite, Embark, and so on. The Avalanche and Ethereum interoperability allow assets to be exchanged across ecosystems and projects to extend their user base by expanding across various ecosystems. On Avalanche, transaction costs are rarely more than a few cents; even complex computations are executed consistently within the dollar range.

Avalanche on Chainstack

The Ava Labs team is extremely successful in forming new partnerships and bringing on new projects, allowing Avalanche network users to experience a more application-rich environment. High performance, security, and customizability—these features of Avalanche allow organizations, businesses, and individuals to develop decentralized applications that can be used in the real world across a wide range of industries.

The addition of Avalanche to Chainstack is yet another step toward our goal of making Web3 universally accessible. This integration unites the two teams dedicated to providing innovative solutions to the community while also advancing accessibility and scalability.

Chainstack allows developers to deploy and sync their nodes in minutes, with predictable pricing that is industry-leading, thanks to a high degree of automation and top-quality engineering. Developers and builders in Web3 and DeFi looking to run high-performing projects on Avalanche now have the option to overcome existing limitations and scale with the enterprise-grade infrastructure that can be relied on across multiple cloud networks and regions. In addition to the node management and operations, the Chainstack blockchain managed services include developer tools and services to make building and managing a DApp, a blockchain analytics platform, or a trading bot easier.

How to use Avalanche on Chainstack

Chainstack is a dependable and simple-to-use platform for quickly deploying nodes on a variety of hosting platforms, including fully managed public clouds like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), as well as on-premises.

Companies can now deploy Avalanche nodes in the same easy and cost-effective way, without needing to invest the precious time and resources in setting up enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Developers may entrust their projects to Chainstack and significantly shorten their time-to-market while also benefiting from the high-performing and dependable infrastructure.

Thanks to its world-class engineering and lean infrastructure, Chainstack has a distinctive price advantage compared to other providers. This is reflected in the introductory pricing for Avalanche for shared full nodes at $0/month on Developer plan with 3M requests included.

Subscription tiers are well planned out to be highly cost-efficient, supporting all projects and use cases in different stages and types. The Growth plan provides 8M requests and the Business plan provides 20M requests. Unlimited requests are available on all dedicated nodes deployed starting on the Business plan.

For all requests beyond those included in the plan, the price for the first 20M extra requests is $0.1 per 10K requests; then $0.05 per 10K requests. See also the full pricing information and a handy calculator.

Working together on making Web3 faster and better

Avalanche is a powerful and innovative protocol that allows flexibility and performance by combining compatibility, fast transaction throughput, and long-term scalability that is sustainable in design. We’ve always admired Avalanche’s robustness in the blockchain space, creating connectivity and interoperability. Absolutely thrilled and proud to support Avalanche on Chainstack and to provide Avalanche node deployment to all developers and builders throughout Web 3.0 and DeFi.

Eugene Aseev, Founder and CTO of Chainstack

By employing blockchain technology that is developed for compatibility, performance, and scalability, Avalanche enables businesses to construct high-performing, ecologically friendly apps. Chainstack’s enterprise-grade, easy-to-use infrastructure, tools, and services let developers and project teams focus on creating breakthrough blockchain solutions and applications by reducing friction and streamlining operational processes. Both teams collaborate to accelerate blockchain adoption for a more connected and efficient future in which projects and end-users can benefit from the innovative power of decentralized applications while also enjoying higher performance and lower gas fees in the same enterprise-grade infrastructure that thousands of companies use every day.
