Track Celo payments from transfer to receipt

Collect stablecoin Transfer events with eth_getLogs, check transaction receipts, and reconcile payments against your own records. Use archive state when you need balances at a specific historical block.

Connect to Celo RPC

Read token-transfer events from the latest Celo block with eth_getLogs.

The result contains matching Transfer logs, or an empty array. Add the stablecoin contract address and paginate historical block ranges when building a payment indexer.

Learn more about Celo
What is a Celo RPC endpoint?

A Celo RPC endpoint is the HTTPS interface your application uses to read Celo state and send signed transactions. It serves Ethereum-compatible JSON-RPC calls for balances, contract reads, event logs, gas estimates, and receipts. Celo is an Ethereum layer 2 focused on payments. See the Celo tooling guide.

Can I use Celo RPC for free?

Yes. Chainstack’s Developer plan includes 3 million request units per month, 25 requests per second, and one node, with no credit card required. Request-unit consumption depends on the method. Create a free account or compare plan features.

What is the Celo RPC URL?

A Chainstack Celo Mainnet HTTPS endpoint follows this format: https://celo-mainnet.core.chainstack.com/YOUR_ENDPOINT_ID. Replace YOUR_ENDPOINT_ID with the identifier from your node’s Access and credentials panel. Use the complete URL supplied for your deployed node and keep its identifier private. Get a Celo endpoint.

What is the Celo chain ID?

Celo Mainnet uses chain ID 42220. Use this value when configuring your wallet, SDK, or development framework. See the Celo tooling guide for connection examples.

How do I track stablecoin payments on Celo?

Read ERC-20 balances with eth_call, collect Transfer events with eth_getLogs, and check transaction status with eth_getTransactionReceipt. Filter by the stablecoin contract and use bounded block ranges for historical reconciliation. RPC access provides chain data; your application maintains its own payment records and confirmation policy. See the Celo RPC methods.

Can I pay Celo transaction fees with a stablecoin?

Celo supports approved fee-currency tokens through its feeCurrency transaction field. Use a Celo-compatible wallet or SDK to construct and sign the transaction, and check which fee currencies the network currently accepts. A standard Ethereum transaction example does not automatically select a stablecoin for gas.

Does Chainstack provide Celo archive data?

Yes. Celo archive access is available on paid plans for historical contract-state reads. Historical state queries and event-log retrieval are different workloads: specify the block you need for state queries, and paginate log backfills. Network migrations and client retention can affect the available historical range. See supported networks and node modes.

Can I debug Celo transactions?

Yes. On a paid plan, deploy a Celo Global Node with debug APIs enabled. Use execution traces to investigate reverted calls and internal contract activity. Check the supported Celo debugging methods and deployment requirements before choosing your node configuration.

Celo RPC API: mainnet URL, chain ID, and payment events

Connect your application to Chainstack’s Celo HTTPS endpoint to read balances, call contracts, query event logs, and submit signed transactions. Use eth_call for contract reads, eth_getLogs for event queries, eth_getTransactionReceipt for receipt checks, and eth_sendRawTransaction to broadcast a signed transaction. Celo Mainnet uses chain ID 42220.

A Chainstack Celo Mainnet endpoint follows the format https://celo-mainnet.core.chainstack.com/YOUR_ENDPOINT_ID. Replace YOUR_ENDPOINT_ID with your own authenticated node identifier. Use ethers.js, viem, or web3.py to build stablecoin payments, merchant services, and onchain agents. Filter logs by contract address and event topic, and keep block ranges bounded. See the Celo tooling guide and RPC method reference for integration details.
