Arc Testnet

Build and test with managed Arc RPC endpoints designed for sub-second deterministic finality and sustained financial application traffic.

From payments and treasury systems to FX, tokenized assets, analytics, and AI-agent workflows, Chainstack provides reliable access without the operational burden of running Malachite and Reth infrastructure. SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified.

Learn more about Arc
What is Arc?
Arc is an open, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoin-native financial applications. It uses USDC for gas and combines Malachite consensus with Reth execution to deliver deterministic finality in under one second.
How do I get an Arc RPC endpoint?
Create a free Chainstack account and sign in. Click Add node, select Arc, choose Mainnet or Testnet, and deploy a Global Node or Dedicated Node. When the node is running, open Access and credentials to copy the HTTPS and WebSocket endpoints.
What is the difference between a Arc Global Node and a Dedicated Node?
An Arc Global Node provides shared, auto-scaling RPC access through geo-balanced infrastructure.
A Dedicated Node provides isolated compute resources, predictable performance, and greater configuration control for sustained production workloads.
What token does Arc use for gas?
Arc uses USDC as its native gas token. Developers can pay transaction fees in a stable, dollar-denominated asset instead of acquiring a separate volatile gas token.
Is the Arc RPC API compatible with Ethereum?
Yes. Arc is EVM-compatible and supports standard Ethereum JSON-RPC. Solidity contracts and familiar tools such as Hardhat, Foundry, ethers.js, viem, and Remix work with Arc endpoints.
What are the uptime and performance guarantees?
Chainstack Global Nodes and Dedicated Nodes are built for highly available, low-latency production access. Dedicated deployments can include a 99.99% uptime service-level agreement, subject to the selected plan and service terms.
How can I monitor Arc node usage and performance?
Use node analytics on Chainstack to track request volume, response time, and node health from one place.

Notes for Arc API

Arc separates consensus and execution across two layers. Malachite orders and finalizes blocks, while Reth executes transactions, maintains blockchain state, and exposes an Ethereum-compatible JSON-RPC interface.
Arc Mainnet uses chain ID `{{ARC_MAINNET_CHAIN_ID}}`, and Arc Testnet uses chain ID `5042002`. Both networks use USDC as the native gas token.
Arc finalizes transactions in under one second with no reorganization risk after inclusion. Arc Testnet produces blocks in approximately 0.48 seconds, while Malachite benchmarks report more than 3,000 transactions per second with 20 validators and finality below 350 ms.
Arc uses an EIP-1559-compatible fee market with an exponentially weighted moving average that smooths base-fee changes. Fees are denominated in USDC, and a minimal or zero priority fee is sufficient under normal network conditions.
Native USDC uses 18-decimal precision for gas accounting and native value transfers. Its ERC-20 interface uses 6 decimals for application-level transfers, approvals, and allowances. Both interfaces represent the same underlying USDC balance.
Arc supports ERC-4337 account abstraction for smart contract wallets, including bundlers, paymasters, and session keys.
You can also access Arc through the Chainstack MCP server. Query onchain data, deploy nodes, and search Chainstack documentation from Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, ChatGPT, Codex, Pi, Gemini, or another MCP-compatible or skill-compatible AI agent.
