Unrivaled Infrastructure meets unbeatable pricing: Introducing Chainstack Global Elastic Nodes

Since the launch of Chainstack in 2018, we have served over 80,000 developers, providing them with the tools to interact with blockchain technology and connect with the broader Web3 industry. We have constantly collaborated with our partners and clients, actively seeking feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance our platform’s capabilities and user experience.

What are Global Elastic Nodes?

Designed to enhance performance and reliability, Global Elastic Nodes are a key advancement to our architecture. Under the hood, Global Elastic Nodes utilize geo-load balancing technology which enables intelligent routing of requests to the nearest server, reducing latency and delivering maximum performance.

By proactively monitoring node status, Global Elastic Nodes adapt to network conditions in real time providing instant failover to another node during network interruptions on a global scale. They also provide infinite scalability, reduce disconnection rates, and distribute workloads across multiple locations, resulting in enhanced performance and increased reliability for Web3 projects.

Finally, it helps developers deliver an improved user experience as it ensures the end-users receive a fast and responsive application engagement regardless of their geographical location. Whether the user is accessing a DApp from New York or Tokyo, Global Elastic Nodes provide a global network of nodes ensuring consistent performance, making distance and location barriers virtually disappear.

Prime benefits with Global Elastic Nodes

Here’s what it means for your applications and projects:

Global connectivity: Route requests to the closest server based on users’ geographic locations, which provides near-zero latency and best-in-class performance.

Unparalleled scalability: Ensures the seamless handling of many requests simultaneously. By distributing traffic to other locations, we prevent network congestion and enable zero disruption to your application.

Peak reliability: Re-routes operations in under 1 second the moment our infrastructure detects any network disruption or network congestion, ensuring 99.99%+ availability on both, WebSocket API and HTTP.

Robust protection: Protection from Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks ensures secure encrypted communication between users and the services they access.

By utilizing Global Elastic Nodes, applications will always remain available, and even users on one side of the world can retain the same performance and latency even when they travel to the other side of the globe.

A new billing system to simplify your costs and usage

We’re also excited to introduce a new billing system after implementing feedback from our developer community. For the first time, we offer customers a unified monthly usage quota, combining the requests from Elastic Full and Archive Nodes, and Dedicated Subgraphs.

To make this possible, we’ve designed Request Units or RUs, providing our users with complete flexibility and granular control to allocate resources according to their needs, while still maintaining the simplicity of offering all methods at the same cost.

Request TypeCost
Elastic Full Node request1 RU
Elastic Archive Node request2 RUs
Dedicated Subgraphs20 RUs

It is important to note that the different costs associated with Request Units only apply to the node itself. These rates apply to both, Global and Regional mode settings for your Elastic Nodes.

Here’s what it means if a user dedicates their entire quota to making requests to an Archive Node:

  • Growth: Up to 10 million archive requests
  • Business: Up to 70 million archive requests
  • Enterprise: Up to 200 million archive requests

In short, users will receive up to 3x+ more archive requests compared to the included requests in the previous pricing scheme.

And here are our new, combined usage quotas that provide you with unparalleled request volumes:

PlanMonthly Quota
Developer3 million RUs
Growth20 million RUs
Business140 million RUs
EnterpriseCustom, starts at 400 million RUs

Final words

With Global Elastic Nodes, users can experience unprecedented performance and reliability, eliminating concerns about network disruptions or latency. Additionally, the introduction of Request Units has not only enhanced the accessibility of our core products and features but has also maintained the same level of simplicity as before. This means that all requests are still priced equally, ensuring a fair and straightforward experience for all users. Now users can confidently explore new tools and scale their projects knowing that the costs of their API requests align with their usage needs.
