Scaling Hyperliquid together: Chainstack at HLH hackathon

Created Sep 18, 2025 Updated Sep 18, 2025

Join us at HLH in Seoul, September 21–22! Ship with Chainstack — the most complete stack for Hyperliquid builders.

Shipping doesn’t stop on Hyperliquid. Trader bots are rolling out, orderbook trading keeps picking up, and more teams are putting HyperEVM through its paces. The next milestone is HLH, the first Hyperliquid hackathon in Seoul, bringing hundreds of builders under one roof.

Chainstack is in the mix with the full stack for builders: low-latency RPC, a Hyperliquid testnet faucet, archive nodes, WebSockets, and a live API reference — everything you need to get live on Hyperliquid fast.

About HLH: Hyperliquid’s first in-person hackathon

HLH runs September 21–22 in Seoul, bringing 300 builders together to ship on HyperEVM and HyperCore.

The space will stay open around the clock so teams can keep building. Throughout the weekend, there will be technical workshops, 1:1 guidance, and talks from Hyperliquid contributors and ecosystem partners. Panels and keynotes add more context on where Hyperliquid is heading and how to build on it today.

On the final day, projects are demoed in front of judges and ecosystem partners. The strongest builds get recognition on stage and support to keep pushing after the hackathon.

If you want to hack, you can apply for a builder spot. You can also join as a general attendee to take part in the talks and sessions. Head to hlh.builders for both.

What’s on the agenda

The hackathon tracks are tied to Hyperliquid’s “House All Finance” vision. Projects will explore:

  • Programmable trading — building on HyperEVM and Corewriter
  • HIP-3 markets — deploying new perpetuals at the builder level
  • Builder codes & integrations — turning code into monetizable tools
  • Developer tools & public goods — infra and open-source that push the ecosystem forward

Catch us at HLH, too! Don’t miss Chainstack Director of Developer Experience, Ake, walking through the fastest way to get onboarded to Hyperliquid and start shipping.

Building on Hyperliquid with Chainstack

Building on Hyperliquid takes reliable infra. That’s what we’re bringing to HLH. The full stack, ready to go:

This stack is live today and keeps growing. New endpoints, more dev tools, and constant updates so Hyperliquid builders can focus on shipping.

Next stop: Seoul (Sep 21–22)

If you’re building on HyperEVM or HyperCore, it’s the weekend to get questions answered and move a project from idea to running code.

We’ll be there with the full stack for Hyperliquid builders — faucet, managed RPC (Global and Dedicated), archive nodes, WebSockets — and Ake’s session on getting developers live fast.

See you there!

Querying full and archive Ethereum nodes with Python

Whenever we need to query data from the blockchain, we fetch it from a node. An archive node differs from a full node since the first holds the entire history of network transactions. Thus, some queries for older block transactions cannot be fetched easily on a full node. In this tutorial, we will programmatically fetch data from the blockchain, switching between full and archive nodes when necessary.
