TRON Mainnet and Nile Testnet

Build with managed TRON endpoints on Mainnet and the Nile Testnet. Every node serves the TRON HTTP API (/wallet そして /walletsolidity), gRPC, and a read-only /jsonrpc endpoint, and keeps the complete block and transaction history from genesis. WebSocket is not supported.

One endpoint. Four API surfaces.

HTTP, solidity, JSON-RPC, and gRPC run on the same Chainstack node, so you can pick the interface that fits each workload.

HTTP API

Use /wallet for full node operations, including transactions, and /walletsolidity for confirmed (solidified) data. TronWeb.js handles deployment and transfers.

TRON tooling →

gRPC

The Wallet, WalletSolidity, and Database services run on one :443 endpoint, authenticated with an x-token header, for indexers and high-throughput backends.

gRPC docs →

JSON-RPC (read-only)

A limited Ethereum-compatible /jsonrpc endpoint lets web3.py, Hardhat, and Foundry read from TRON. Writes go through TronWeb.js and the HTTP API.

TRON methods →

Complete block history

Nodes run in archive mode: every block and transaction from genesis, plus historical TRX balances, at 1 RU per request with no archive split.

History details →

One node. Three ways to call it.

Copy your endpoint and x-token from Access and credentials in the console, then run any of these.

const { TronWeb } = require('tronweb');

const tronWeb = new TronWeb({
    fullHost: 'YOUR_CHAINSTACK_ENDPOINT'
});

const address = 'TWiEv2wfqQ8FkbAJ6bXt1uA2Uav9ZWvXip';

async function getBalance() {
    try {
        const balanceInSun = await tronWeb.trx.getBalance(address);
        const balanceInTRX = tronWeb.fromSun(balanceInSun);

        console.log(`Address: ${address}`);
        console.log(`Balance in SUN: ${balanceInSun}`);
        console.log(`Balance in TRX: ${balanceInTRX}`);
    } catch (error) {
        console.error('Error getting balance:', error);
    }
}

    # Add x-token to metadata
    metadata = [("x-token", X_TOKEN)]

    # Call GetNowBlock
    response = stub.GetNowBlock(
        api_pb2.EmptyMessage(),
        metadata=metadata,

Learn more about TRON
What is TRON?
TRON is a delegated proof-of-stake Layer 1 widely used for USDT stablecoin transfers. Its node client is the Java-based java-tron.
How do I get a TRON RPC endpoint?
Create a free Chainstack account and sign in. Click Add node, select TRON, choose Mainnet or Nile Testnet, and deploy a Global Node or Dedicated Node. When the node is running, open Access and credentials to copy your endpoint. The gRPC endpoint is tron-mainnet.core.chainstack.com:443 (Nile: tron-nile.core.chainstack.com:443), authenticated with the x-token header.
What is the difference between a TRON Global Node and a Dedicated Node?
A Global Node provides shared, auto-scaling RPC access through geo-balanced infrastructure, available on every plan. A Dedicated Node provides isolated, single-tenant infrastructure with predictable performance and greater control over node configuration. Global Nodes serve Mainnet and the Nile Testnet.
Is the TRON RPC API compatible with Ethereum?
Only partly. The /jsonrpc endpoint is a limited, read-only Ethereum-compatible interface, so eth_sendRawTransaction and eth_getTransactionCount are not available. Use TronWeb.js with the /wallet endpoint for transactions and deployment, or compile with Foundry or Hardhat and deploy through TronWeb.js.
Does TRON support WebSocket or event subscriptions?
No. TRON nodes on Chainstack do not support WebSocket connections for event subscriptions.
Do TRON nodes keep full history?
Yes for blocks and transactions: nodes run in archive mode with the complete history from genesis, and historical TRX balances are available. TRON has no historical contract or account state beyond that, which is a java-tron limitation.
Is the TRON RPC free?
Yes. The Developer plan is $0 and includes 3M request units per month at up to 25 requests per second. Every TRON request costs 1 RU, with no archive split. Paid plans start at $49/month with 20M request units.
稼働率とパフォーマンスに関する保証内容はどのようなものですか?
Chainstack Global Nodes and Dedicated Nodes are built for highly available, low-latency production access. Custom uptime SLAs are available on the Enterprise plan.

TRON に関する注意事項

TRON uses its own HTTP API and gRPC interface, not Ethereum JSON-RPC. Your Chainstack node serves four surfaces on one endpoint: /wallet (full node operations, including transactions), /walletsolidity (confirmed data), a limited read-only /jsonrpc, and gRPC at tron-mainnet.core.chainstack.com:443 (Nile: tron-nile.core.chainstack.com:443) with the x-token header. gRPC serves protocol.Wallet, protocol.WalletSolidity, and protocol.Database; WalletExtension そして Monitor return UNIMPLEMENTED. WebSocket and event subscriptions are not supported. Use TronWeb.js for transactions and deployment; web3.py, Hardhat, and Foundry can read through /jsonrpc. Nodes run in archive mode with the complete block and transaction history from genesis but no historical contract state, and every request costs 1 RU.

You can also access TRON through the Chainstack MCP server — query onchain data, deploy nodes, and search Chainstack docs from Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, ChatGPT, Codex, Pi, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible or SKILL-compatible AI agent.
