Mondial Nodes

Connect to X Layer Mainnet and Testnet through geo-balanced infrastructure that scales with request volume and routes traffic for reliable access across regions. Global Nodes serve archive data, and paid plans add debug_* and trace_* APIs.

Learn more about X Layer
What is X Layer?
X Layer is OKX’s Ethereum Layer 2 network. It migrated from a Polygon CDK zkEVM validium to the OP Stack in October 2025 and produces 1-second blocks. OKB is the network’s gas token.
How do I get an X Layer RPC endpoint?
Create a free Chainstack account and sign in. Click Add node, select XLayer, choose Mainnet or Testnet, and deploy a Global Node or Dedicated Node. When the node is running, open Access and credentials to copy your HTTPS and WebSocket endpoints.
What is the difference between an X Layer Global Node and a Dedicated Node?
An X Layer Global Node provides shared, auto-scaling RPC access through geo-balanced infrastructure, with archive data and debug and trace APIs on paid plans. A Dedicated Node provides isolated op-reth compute resources, predictable performance, and greater control over node configuration, and requires a Pro plan or higher.
Does X Layer use a native token?
Yes. OKB is the gas token on X Layer, with total supply capped at 21 million following an August 2025 token burn.
Is the X Layer RPC API compatible with Ethereum?
Yes. X Layer is fully EVM-compatible and exposes the standard Ethereum eth_* JSON-RPC and WebSocket interface — the same tooling (ethers.js, web3.py, Hardhat, Foundry) works without modification.
Quelles sont les garanties de disponibilité et de performance ?
Chainstack Global Nodes and Dedicated Nodes are built for highly available, low-latency production access. Custom uptime SLAs are available on the Enterprise plan.
How can I monitor X Layer node usage and performance?
Utilisez les outils d'analyse d'node , disponibles sur Chainstack , pour suivre le volume des requêtes, le temps de réponse et l'état de santé d'node depuis un seul et même endroit.

Notes for X Layer API

X Layer runs xlayer-reth, OKX’s Reth-based OP Stack execution client, and exposes the standard Ethereum JSON-RPC and WebSocket API, not a custom or CDK-specific interface. Use ethers.js, web3.py, or any standard EVM SDK. X Layer Mainnet has chain ID 196, testnet has chain ID 1952, and gas is paid in OKB. Global Nodes run in Archive mode, and debug and trace methods need a paid plan. Requests 127 or more blocks behind the tip count as archive requests at 2 request units, debug and trace requests are also 2 request units, and other requests are 1 request unit. On Mainnet, Archive serves the whole chain, including blocks from before the October 2025 OP Stack migration, with debug and trace available. Pending transactions stay with the sequencer, so eth_subscribe(“newPendingTransactions”) and txpool_status return nothing. Dedicated Nodes are available on Mainnet and Testnet with single-tenant resources, and require a Pro plan or higher.

You can also access X Layer through the Chainstack MCP server — query onchain data, deploy nodes, and search Chainstack docs from Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, ChatGPT, Codex, Pi, Gemini, or any MCP-compatible or SKILL-compatible AI agent.
