A Base RPC endpoint is a URL your application uses to communicate with a Base blockchain node. It lets you read balances, call smart contracts, retrieve event logs, estimate gas, and submit signed transactions through the Ethereum-compatible JSON-RPC API.
Create a Chainstack account, create a project, and deploy a Base node on mainnet or Sepolia. Open Access and credentials and copy the HTTPS endpoint. This is your Base RPC URL. Add it to your wallet, SDK, or development framework.
Yes. The Chainstack Developer plan includes 3 million request units per month, an overall limit of 25 requests per second, one node, and WebSocket access. No credit card is required. Individual methods may have additional limits. Transactions on Base still require gas.
Base mainnet uses chain ID 8453. Base Sepolia uses chain ID 84532 and is intended for development and testing. Both use ETH for gas, but Sepolia uses test ETH. Configure your application with the endpoint and chain ID for the same network.
Base publishes https://mainnet.base.org for mainnet and https://sepolia.base.org for Sepolia. Chainstack provides an authenticated RPC URL for your deployed node, with account-based usage tracking, published plan allowances, and options for archive data, tracing, and dedicated infrastructure.
Global Nodes provide managed, geo-balanced Base RPC access with automatic routing. Dedicated Nodes reserve compute and storage for your workload and support deployment-specific configurations. Choose based on resource isolation, configuration, and workload requirements.
A Base archive node provides historical account and smart contract state. Use it to query balances and contract storage at past blocks or run historical contract calls for analytics and backtesting. Chainstack archive access is available starting from the Growth plan.
Yes. Base Global Nodes on paid plans support Debug & Trace APIs. Methods such as debug_traceTransaction and trace_transaction help inspect contract execution and diagnose failed transactions. Check the Base methods reference for availability on your node configuration.
Yes. Chainstack provides Base WebSocket endpoints for supported subscriptions, including new blocks and contract event logs. WebSocket access is included in the Developer plan. Use the WebSocket URL from your node’s Access and credentials section.
Optimized submission routes eth_sendRawTransaction calls through a private, optimized path designed to reduce inclusion delays. It is available on Base mainnet Global Nodes on every plan, including Developer. If that path fails, submission falls back to the standard node route. It does not guarantee transaction inclusion.
Yes. The Unlimited Node add-on provides unlimited RPC requests within your selected RPS tier for a fixed monthly add-on fee. It is available starting from the Growth plan. Your subscription and other add-ons are billed separately.
Yes. Chainstack Self-Hosted lets you deploy and manage Base nodes on infrastructure you control. The Community edition is free; you pay for your own servers or cloud resources. Use the installation guide to set up your deployment.
Open the Chainstack Base Sepolia faucet, enter your wallet address and Chainstack API key, and submit a claim. The faucet tops eligible wallets up to 0.5 Base Sepolia ETH every 24 hours. Use it to pay testnet gas for smart-contract deployments and test transactions through your Base Sepolia RPC endpoint. Wallet eligibility requirements are listed on the faucet page.
Connect your application to a Base HTTPS endpoint to query balances, read smart contracts and event logs, estimate gas, and submit signed transactions. Common JSON-RPC methods include eth_getBalance, eth_call, eth_getLogs, eth_estimateGas，以及 eth_sendRawTransaction. Use the WebSocket endpoint with eth_subscribe for supported real-time subscriptions.
